China Tang: A new Chinese restaurant to discover

January 14th 2014

This is the gastronomic hot spot since the start of 2014! Sir David Tang (Founder of China Clubs and Shanghai Tang!) has just opened this restaurant in the Landmark. If you are a foodie, you should book a table quickly. Those from London probably have heard of this restaurant from the well-known Dorchester Collection. The Hong Kong version is a success. We love the ultra luxurious decoration of the lounges surrounding the main room and the bar. We found our next spot for refined drinks after work. We ordered a selection of dim sums as we wanted a rather light lunch! The ‘rice flour shrimp rolls’ are incredible just like the Har Gow (shrimp dumplings). The Siu Mai (pork/ shrimp dumplings) are very tasty and the Xiao Long Bao (pork ravioli) aren’t too bad at all. This and a small bowl of rice with some delicious soy sauce and you will be satisfied! If your stomach is still growling, order some meat or fish or seafood dishes. The menu is tempting and full of choice. Sadly the price was just a little bit too high for our taste.
