Hong Kong Madame was invited to an exclusive (and very promising!) preview of Métropolitain, the latest venture from French Creations (the same team that runs Pastis). It seems that these guys never stop coming up with great ideas! This time, Jérôme and Olivier have created French style foodie heaven, and we already like it so much that it has become our new favourite place for food! It's located in a really nice part of town, with brilliant interior design and offers delicious dishes. There's a very ‘Parisian metro station’ feel: concrete floors and tiled walls, wrought iron details from top to bottom and a massive map of Paris out on the terrace. They’ve got high marble bar tables, an entirely open kitchen, and big windows opening onto the outdoors area. Food wise, we gave the salmon tartare ‘grade A’ because it really was thoroughly delicious. The beef tartare had pretty much the same effect on us as did the warm goats cheese salad with pesto, the salmon gravlax, the fois gras and the chicken (well cooked and perfectly tender). Obviously, it goes without saying that we were big fans of the crème brulée. Just go and see for yourselves!
