Mott 32

June 20th 2014

If you love Chinese food, this is for you. Dim sum, peking duck, noodles and stir fried vegetables. The extensive menu includes traditional dishes from the Canton region, Sichuan and Beijing.  We recommend the cucumber salad with soy sauce and garlic; it’s delicious, as well as the fried noodles with beef and lacquered pork, which is equally good. The place is agreeable, with a warm, jazzy and welcoming atmosphere.  For the record, it was at 32, Mott Street where the very first Chinese store in New York was established in 1851, quickly transforming the neighborhood into China Town. And it is in the street’s honor that the latest Maximal Concept Group’s restaurant bears its name. The decor embodies a blend of East and West, a New York industrial-style loft married with traditional Chinese adornments.
