Seoul mate

When I heard about Jinjuu, Hong Kong new baby from American-born chef and Korean TV star Judy Joo, I knew it could only mean one thing … a Bibimbap and Korean fried chicken feast was in the pipe ! Is Jinjuu my Seoul mate ? It is time to find out …

The place is beautiful, huge, New-York loft style and widely open to the streets of LKF. Let’s start with a cocktail … Common its LKF, you cannot help but feel the party vibes. First a K-Pop Pornstar sweet and fresh, a very girly passion fruit drink. Then, the unforgettable an really hot Kimchi Bloody Mary. This my friend, is a killer drink!

Let’s cool down that damn good Kimchi Bloody Mary with some food. Here is my advice : grab a bunch of friends and book a table, then order as much dishes as you can and share … Korean tapas style. The Korean fried chicken is just like what you can expect of that very pornfood dish: golden fired, crispy and not oily. Perfect matching with the Kimchi fried rice and the Jinjuu Carnitas fries – French fries w/ Korean Marinated Australian beef, cheddar and fresh kimchi. The Kimbap - Korean style seaweed rice rolls are just so easy to share. And you cannot miss the Bibimbap, as tasty as it is photogenic (and believe me this one is an Instagram supermodel).

Whatever you go for during the diner, never forget this … spare some room for the dessert. The chocolate brownie is an absolute bombshell! Chocolate, hazelnut and gochugaru melting brownie with spicy heart balanced with salted miso ice-cream and crispy chocolate rice. Excuse me, can I get another one?

Sipping another Kimchi Bloody Mary all I can think of is, yes, I found my Seoul Mate in Hong Kong.
