Summer must-haves

June 28th 2012

« Never without », yes of course, there are things we don’t joke about in life. As superficial as it might sound, let’s not lie to ourselves, we’re all the same (with a few exceptions, ok), we love taking care of our hands, tootsies, face, hair, body, basically everything you can exfoliate, moisturize, oil and smother all over and over. So here are our summer faves:

We get ready…
We exfoliate our skin so that it can welcome nicely our friend the sun. We like the Avene exfoliating cream, a good old basic we don’t get bored of. For the body, we vote Aesop!! It leaves your skin super smooth and smelling great. And don’t go out in the sun without correcting radiance serum from Caudalie, the best of the best.

We go out in the sun…
Let’s not forget the straw hat, the super trendy fluo sunglasses and the sun cream! In this department, we’re spoilt for choice. Personally, I love Clarins and its its fantastic sun care range. We love smothering ourselves with the factor 50 anti-wrinkle cream (yes yes, even you tanning addicts, you shouldn’t joke with your face). And we love the Huile Embellissante spray, a little wonder to be used late afternoon once the sun is more bearable.

We refresh ourselves…
Que calor! Quick, some grape water by Caudalie!

We moisturize…
Moisturising is the key to a super tan. Esthederm excels in that area. We particularly like the tan extending milk (might as well). For those who wanted to show off and got burnt, the intense after-sun is perfect!

We protect ourselves…
From mosquitoes: still with Clarins, opt for the moisturizing and anti-mosquito after-sun balm. Otherwise, the Neutrogena oil is also a good repellent!

And our hair?
The must-haves: the summer protective oil from Furterer. We also like the « sun care hair and body cleanser » shampoo a lot (to use throughout the summer, wonderful!) and the after-sun moisturizing mask, all of this from Avida.

And off we go with all our bits and bobs in our old beach bag!
Summer’s here!
