What? A new restaurant with a panoramic view just opened in LKF? Quick, what are you waiting for! We certainly didn’t waste any time to run over to California Tower as soon as we heard the news, into the lift we go and up to the 23rd floor. We sit at one of the table right next to the enormous glass window, and start staring into space, the view is amazing. The drinks menu has a great selection of tea-based mocktails, which seem to be the house specials: hibiscus, vanilla peach, mango rosemary or even caramel pumpkin, it’s hard to choose. If you prefer cocktails, try the “welcome to town” , “mister charming” or the “Popcorn avenue”. And to go with it? Lots of different tapas, varied in size and inspired by different countries. It’s the same concept as Glasshouse in the IFC (also by the same group): Western with a touch of Asian, or vice a versa! Feeling like seafood? The Tom Yum oysters with lime should do the trick. Feeling like Italy? The truffle pizza with prawns and cauliflower will surprise you, and if you’re not feeling adventourous the classic tomato mozzarella one is equally good. Or go all out and try the deep fried foie Gras with mango sauce, the steak sandwich Korean style or even the duck noodles.
There’s something for everyone, to say the least. Whatever you’re feeling like!
