Just back from our latest trip, we already think of our next destination. Pampering, good food, pool with a view, luxury rooms and bathtubs… we miss those already. Jetlags, visas, vaccination, airports… we don’t miss them at all. The best would be a nice resort right next door.
Here it is ! Kerry Hôtel by Shangri-La just opened a few months ago: FAN-TAS-TIC! Extraordinary spaces, outdoor swimming-pool with spectacular Harbour views, unique dining concepts, a spa and a health club, an exclusive Club Lounge, large lawns… these in a calm and relaxing atmosphere, 300m away from Whampoa Mtr station. For a family staycation, a romantic week-end, your friends who come to visit or a business trip, this hotel will please everybody.

- Rooms: chose the Seaview ones. Large windows overlooking Victoria Harbour, comfortable king size bed and huge bathroom make you feel good as soon as you enter. Complimentary Nespresso machine and mini-bar upon arrival are so valuable.
- My tip: go for the Premium Club Lounge offer. Free access, complimentary cold and hot drinks, fruits, snacks, wine and champagne all day long. In the morning, the buffet and A la carte breakfast is served until noon. Hearty and delicious, it’s worthy of the greatest restaurants. In the evening, a cocktail is served including tapas, cold cuts, cheese, canapes. So quiet and comfortable. A VIP touch we always appreciate.
- Outdoor infinity pool is heated and offers lovely skyline views. I could stay there all day, but the Health Club and spa are also worth the visit. Relax, put your feet up after your morning gym and enjoy.
- Restaurants: if you didn’t choose the Club option, I would recommend the Big Bay Café amazing breakfast. For lunch, the Dockyard terrace is very pleasant with its 10 kiosks from around the world. You can’t leave before you had a drink on the Red Sugar terrace. During the day, treat yourself with a fresh juice, a cup of tea and some delicacies at the Lobby Lounge.
- Greenery: this makes the difference. Large lawns and trees are perfect to play with your kids or lay on the grass with your book.
