Who’s been lucky enough to attend a film screening at The Grounds, Hong Kong socially distanced outdoor cinema, this winter? I had and absolutely loved the experience. If you did too, or were unfortunately not lucky enough to grab a ticket for The Grounds, you’ll be happy to hear that the space just reopened its doors. Bye The Grounds and hello The Lawn Club offering four-person private picket fenced garden pods fitted with extra-large deck chairs. Get your game on with classic garden games such as Petanque, PutterBall, Ladder Ball, Croquet and more. Enjoy live performances and livestreaming of some of the summer most awaiting sporty events including Tennis Grand Slams and European Football Championship. Last but not least, refuel with summer drinks including Peroni and Aperol Spritz and a burger from Shake Shack delivered straight to your pod.

Singapore-based brand KARANA is now joining the movement with offering Asia’s first whole-plant based meat option. Unlike others, KARANA is minimally processed and uses only four ingredients - young jackfruit, canola oil, sea salt and natural flavours – making it a truly healthy alternative. Being only minimally processed, KARANA offers great flexibility for chefs to season and cook the ingredient as they wish and six restaurants in Hong Kong are already offering KARANA dishes: Chaat at Rosewood Hong Kong, Sip Song, Emerald, Beef & Liberty, Cheung Kung Koon and HOT’N’MEEN (on Deliveroo only).
