Yin Yang: In Margaret Xu Yuan’s kitchen

Yin Yang: In Margaret Xu Yuan’s kitchen
The green and foodie tip of the day? Yin Yang. A private kitchen in the heart of Wan Chai that promises not only to surprise you but also to tickle your taste buds. To begin with, we love the concept of a “private kitchen”. Limited capacity and dishes that are specially concocted for people who have made bookings. Yummy, everything sounds super fresh! Yin Yang revealed itself to be beyond our expectations. It has to be said that the Chef is none other than the renowned cook Margaret Xu Yuan, famous for Cuisine X, a private kitchen that used to be located in her house in the New Territories. She now cooks in Wan Chai, in this charming restaurant in Ship Street. The produce comes from the restaurant’s own organic farms, the recipes are authentic and the dishes are cooked according to local traditions –sometimes it can take all day to prepare them! So that’s what’s in store for you. There isn’t much room for improvisation as you need to book at least 24 hours in advance. The menus will be sent to you as soon as you make your booking so that you can confirm your choices at least a day before your meal. We opted for the set lunch with the “Clay Oven local black pork Charsiu in organic lemon honey” and the “Claypot organic radish wagyu beef brisket” as main courses. Delightful! The menu changes each month so there’s no chance of you getting bored! Perfect if you tend to be loyal to your favorite eateries!
