The Peninsula Hotels launches “Art in Resonnance” a global art programme kicking-off in Hong Kong

5 little things we love – April
Official Hotel Partner of Art Basel, The Peninsula Hotels recently made a step further in supporting art by launching a unique global programme: “Art in Resonance ”. This ambitious programme will travel around the world across The Peninsula Hotels properties and seeks to use art as a bridge to communicate across different cultures through commissioned art pieces fostering collective participation and amplifying the different senses.

Programme is kicking-off at The Peninsula Hong Kong with 4 installations: an amazing floating artwork from Janet Echelman welcoming you at the historic forecourt of the hotel, a piece from Timothy Paul Myers situated in the lobby, an interplay of space and light by Ivan Navarro and an intriguing architectural space designed by Zhi-gang Lu and teams at MINAX and Minaxdo which offers visitors a unique private dining venue.

The 4 installations will stay at The Peninsula Hong Kong until June 21 and some will then travel to The Peninsula Paris in the autumn 2019 where they will be joined by additional, newly commissioned installations from local artists. This spring and autumn cadence will be replicated each year, as the programme travels and grows between The Peninsula’s ten locations and hotels under development in London, Istanbul and Yangon.

Pret a Manger brings the taste of New-York delis to Hong Kong

5 little things we love – April
Ask me what to eat in New York and one of the first thing I’ll think about is “pastrami sandwich”. I’m obsessed with pastrami sandwiches. If you are just like me, you have until April 30 to enjoy Pret’s New Yorker: generous layers of pastrami, cornichons, crispy onions, fresh spinach and caramelized onions with mustard mayo.

Pawó, offers ethical yet fashionable bags perfect for summer days

5 little things we love – April
Who says ethical can’t be fun and fashionable? Not the two founders of Pawó based between Hong Kong and Mexico and bringing Mexican craftmanship to Hong Kong.
Loving the ethnical and colorful designs of their bags inspired by Oaxaca, a province in Mexico, where they are brought to life by prisoners using their unique craftmanship to try and change their lives.
Well, I guess now it’s only about choosing which of these lovely babies is going to be our next summer must-have. Are you team tote bags or team clutches? We are seriously crushing on the Papaya Tote Bag (HKD 1,800) as seen on the picture above.

Peppertint opens first ever kiosk, at LCX Harbour City

5 little things we love – April
After launching in 2015, handcrafted in Hong Kong eyewear brand Pepperting is launching its first ever kiosk.
We are loving the Californian lifestyle and culture inspired designs of those eyewears. Why those Californian vibes? Because the founder, born in Hong Kong, has been living on the West Coast for quite a long time before moving to Hong Kong and wanted to bring a bit of California back with him.

Hong Kong Madame fav: we can’t really decide which one we like more between the very sixties inspired Crenshaw in White  (HKD 706) or the super fashionable Inglewood in blue mirror  (HKD 1,004)

Available online and at newly opened kiosk in Harbour City: kiosk 20A, LCX, Level 3, Ocean Terminal, Harbour City – TST
