EDGAR: Organic, healthy and zero-waste!

December 21st 2017

Living in HK, you won’t be the last one to complain about plastic bags, paper and cans which fill-up the bins and sprinkle the beaches. Enough of those! Same for snacks made of Es and palm oil, we have enough! That’s why we were so happy when we heard about Edgar, the first No-waste grocery store with organic and healthy produce. Located on the 2nd floor of K11 in Tsim Sha Tsui, it’s very welcoming with its small carriage filled with colored and yummy products.

Concept is simple. You bring your own empty containers or you take one of their recycling bag, then you start filling those with everything you want. Everything is displayed in big bulks, pretty baskets or large glass jars.

Once your choice is made, you will pay depending on the weight. Don’t miss the amazing freeze-dried shiitake mushrooms. What is freeze-dried? A process which preserves the taste, color and nutritional value. Dried okra, radish, apples, beets, bananas, starfruits… are all as lovely as healthy. Add some nuts, rice, lentils, teas, cereals, pasta, biscuits… chocolate are delicious, as well as their different honey sticks. You can taste if it helps but then you won’t resist buying it. Everything is so good. Vegan and gluten-free choices are clearly stated.
You can also have a look at online store if you prefer to stay home.

Say goodbye to trash and plastic bags. Hello Edgar!
