What with all the documents that need finishing for tomorrow, the never- ending meetings and the non stop phone calls, lunch breaks often end up being very short indeed. But there's no need to sulk; you can still make your intimate lunch date with your PC as tasty and enjoyable as possible. That's easily accomplished if you opt for Korean take away from K- Roll. We've become big fans of this place, and we love the sweet story about it's creation too... One of the owners' young daughters used to come home starving after school- even though everything her lunch box was gone. After several days of questions, the girl finally told her mother that she always shared her food with her school friends because they all loved eating the Korean snacks she took for lunch! Then she started begging her mum to open a restaurant so that her friends could come and eat all the snacks they wanted! After some careful thought, a good deal of courage, and some help from two friends, K- Roll opened its doors in Sheung Wan. All the better for our tummies we say! We really recommend the chicken korrito (a rice roll filled with chicken and veggies), and if you've got a big appetite, order the beef k-rolls too (they're like Korean style makis!) Be warned though, there's a risk that you'll only be able to eat about half! K- Roll is our fave go to place near the office. Give it a try and we guarantee it will soon become yours too!
