Skirt through Wanchai’s overcrowded markets, and go up lifts to the 29th floor to arrive at the Mahalo Tiki Lounge, a little piece of Polynesian paradise. Palm trees, huge wicker chairs, exotic fruits on the counter, small bites to nibble on in the terrace area…It is easy to regret not to having arrived wearing your bathing suit and sarong.
Max, the French King of Cocktails, the mastermind behind Honi Honi bar, has now opened another wonderful Tiki bar (to sum up a cool and exotic place) in July.
For lunch, you can try their light menu, which includes a Poke (fish marinated with herbs, on a base of rice and / or salad) + a smoothie for just HKD120, allowing you to disconnect completely before returning to work or to a round of shopping.
But Mahalo Tiki is above all for the evenings. The list of cocktails is very long, so long that it’s hard to give you a recommendation. You could try Mahi Mahi, made with rum, peach liqueur, pineapple juice, or Polynesian Love, with rum, crème de violette and mixed berry purée. Choose one and get lost in the charms of Mahalo Tiki.
Mahalo Tiki organises special nights* each month: DJs, and surprises await you. There, you can really imagine the sand beneath your feet, the sound of the waves, and the breeze blowing through the coconut trees…
