Meat me at Steak Frites!
Edit - January 7th 2018: this restaurant is now closed

Steak & Fries … Very classic meal, right? Not that funky? The kind of meal you like because well after all we are carnivorous, ant is is comfort food, but it does not really bring any particular foodie emotion. Well it is true, I mean that was true before Steak Frites by The Butchers Club decided to pimp it with dry aged angus beef …  Calling all carnivorous in town, are you ready to join the feast ? ...  Make sure to bring a bunch of friends along with you because Steak Frites is definitely not a single diner place. A bunch of friends that love good meat and obviously good wine, a big table, lot of chit chats this is why a good evening will look like at Steak Frites. Then, make sure to order the all menu ! There is not a single thing you wanna miss.
Ready for the feast ? Let start with some vegetables before it all get very naughty, Wedge salad with maple-glazed bacon, cherry tomatoes and blue cheese dressing  and Wedge Salad with maple-glazed bacon, cherry tomatoes and honey mustard dressing. Then, I will definitely go for the pan-seared Perigord Foie gras and the rosasted Bone Marrow.  The seafood platter is not my fav but I cannot resist the white wine and herb sauce from the black mussels. So good with a piece of bread ! Well, that was quite of an aperitivo right ? And now, it is time o get serious …
  • USDA Angus Prime New York Striploin (aged 90 days)
  • USDA Angus Prime T-Bone (aged 90 days)
  • USDA Porterhouse (aged 90 days)
  • Ranger’s Valley “Black Onyx” Angus Rib Chop (aged 30 days)
  • Ranger’s Valley “Black Onyx” Angus Centre cut tenderloin (aged 30 days)
Those meats are absolutely killing it ! Real meats, so tasty, definitely not for those who satisfied themselves with chopped steak. With those crazy meals, I could not imagine something else than very dirty sides. Well, dirty I got with the duck fat fries and the Mac’n’cheese. And if you are looking for a touch of green then I must admit Brussels Sprouts are surprisingly goods. Of courses I could definitely have stopped after that but you know, professionalism comes before everything so I needed to try some deserts. My foodie tip ? Forget the Cheesecake and definitely go for the spicy and tasty Carrot Cake. What a feast !
