If you’re on a diet, count your calories or have a bird appetite, that’s not the place to go. But if you want to enjoy life, take your time, spend a nice moment with your family or friends and just feel good, please don’t miss it!
I’ve never been at The Grand Hyatt before but as soon as I entered the place: « Wahoo, amazing! », the welcoming hall is huge and the stairs are impressive. Tiffin is located right on the 1st floor, on the mezzanine where the lounge atmosphere welcomes you very warmly. Super cosy sofa, view on the Harbour, live band. Nothing to complain about, this afternoon starts perfectly well.
The buffet suits us as it looks splendid and refined. The ambiance is nice, quiet, relaxing. Chic and casual at the same time. Several chefs are busy behind their casseroles, counters and big bowls, but always smily. The cooked liver lays on warm apples, I can’t resist the amazing salad bar. French dishes such as Beef Bourguignon and Confit duck sits next to grilled octopus, cod with ratatouille or seafood linguine. Soups of the day are warm, the sushi bar and lobsters on ice are fresh, mashed potatoes melt in the mouth while the parma ham smells like Tuscany.
Not full yet ? The cheese platter is appealing, such as the choice of fresh breads. Trust me, I am French, I know what I am talking about….
Too early too leave, we haven’t tried the desserts yet. My daughter is stuck in front of the ice creams station, while we can’t resist the macarons, madeleines, fruits tarts and chocolate fondant.
2 :30pm, perfect time for a nap. We could stay here forever, laying on the coach…
