The Living Room by HULA

Being French, born and raised in Paris, one of the thing that stroked me when I landed in Hong Kong 3 years ago was the lack of private sales and second hand options for clothes. In Paris, I would usually wait for press sales to buy pieces from my favourite designer brands, I would regularly scroll Vestiaire Collective on the look for second-hand designer pieces and I would eagerly wait for Arlettie ’s weekly sale. Hong Kong was nothing like that. Was because things have started to change: invitation-only private sales by OnTheList, launching of Vestiaire Collective, Me&Co pop-up sales of pre-loved clothes… and HULA

HULA?
An online marketplace for the resale of designer women’s clothing, shoes, bags and accessories. HULA was founded by Sarah Fung with the aim of bringing more sustainability to the fashion industry by reducing textile waste and supporting charities ranging from environmental to human trafficking NGOs. Basically, for every item you buy with HULA, 5% of the profit goes to partnered charities.
Oh and of course, all items are carefully curated: Alaïa, Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Céline, Chanel, Chloé. Comme des Garçons, Christian Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Ellery, Fendi, Givenchy, Gucci, Hèrmes, Isabel Marant, Jil Sander, Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu, Moschino, Prada, Rick Owens, Saint Laurent, Stella McCartney, Valentino …

Wanna know more about HULA, get a chance to meet Sarah and (of course) shop beautiful pre-loved designer clothes? The Living Room by HULA is opening today!
This 6-day event is taking place in the heart of Soho and featuring an intimate living-room inspired space to host by-appointment shoppers. Ground level is hosting Choose Well photography exhibition by Gloria Yu and paying homage to Vivienne Westwood famous sentence ‘Buy less, choose well, make it last’.
Feel like getting more insights about sustainability in the fashion industry? HULA will also be hosting a panel discussion tonight: Has Sustainability become Stylish?
