Edit - January 7th 2018: this restaurant is now closed
Head over to Causeway Bay to taste some ramen (noodles) that are to die for! Just behind Lee Gardens, you’ll come across Mist, a small nondescript eatery that is definitely worth a detour. If you don’t believe us, take a look at the 2011 Michelin Guide; a shiny star within a year of it’s opening, that’s something! Once you get there, take a quick look at the décor. Quite dimly lit, with a bar you can sit around to watch the chefs at work. Don’t expect more because what really matters is what’s in the bowls and dishes. And when it comes to food, you’ll definitely get what you’re looking for! As a starter, we’d recommend the fish and avocado tartar as well as the oven baked mushrooms, simply delicious! Then, turn to the stars of the restaurant: the ramen. If you’re looking for chopsticks and spoons to eat with, open the small drawer in front of you. You’ll even find a list detailing the origin of the products as well as a small refreshing finger towel. Let’s get back to our ramen. We opted for the miso ramen. Perfectly seasoned and the noodles were incredible! It was impossible to test any desserts after that. If you are really hungry and want to taste a few different dishes, you could opt for the set menu. You could also have lunch at Mist. But whether it’s at midday or in the evening, don’t forget to make a reservation because the spaces are highly sought-after!
