Saturdays are for relaxing, indulging and enjoying a sweet life, right? And what better day to do so than enjoying a culinary trip to a country that definitely knows a great deal about gastronomy and sweet life? Italy, of course! Every Saturday, Tosca at The Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong is taking us to the sunny fields of Tuscany with the new “La Dolce Vita” Saturday lunch menu imagined by Tuscan-native Chef de Cuisine Nicola Russo.
Who’s in the mood for some Tuscan delicacies?
Just seat, enjoy the amazing view over Victoria Harbour and let the team guide you on this trip. All you have to do is relax and enjoy. It is named La Dolce Vita for a very good reason!
Kicking things off with the antipasti, small bites inspired by the sea and small bites inspired by the mountain since Tuscany is lucky to have them both. I ain’t going to reveal the entire menu but if I had to sum-it up in just one word: delizioso!
Hong Kong Madame fav: the Tagliata di Manzo, a charcoal grilled sirloin beef steak sliced very thinly and served with rocket salad and parmesan. The beef is so tender, it almost feels like eating butter but without the fat.
And because ain’t no proper Tuscan meal without a few glasses of wine, I would absolutely recommend to go for the wine pairing. The sommelier sure knows his job (wasn’t surprised to hear he spent his last holidays in Tuscany visiting the vineyards) and I found that the wines perfectly complimented the dishes. Even managed to get myself an extra drop of that sweet and surprising Vin Santo served with desserts but shhh.
Viva la dolce vita!
