All beautiful, all new, with a 300 degree view of the Hong Kong skyline, dishes to die for. It’s all very tempting. And it’s also for this reason that when we heard that it was in the heart of TST, an area where fine dining restaurants and rooftop bars can’t be found on every street corner, we raced there!
When you reach the 19th floor of Popway hotel, go up a few more stairs until you get to the Sky Deck bar, and there, an intimate terrace, calm atmosphere, beautifully made cocktails, and magnificent view awaits you. We didn’t notice the time go by. And don’t forget we also came for dinner, and had no regrets because the dinner room (1 floor below) with its large windows gave us the same splendid view as the terrace.
On the menu? Beautifully cooked western dishes, with an Asian twist. Get ready to be served onion soup, mayonnaise beef tartare, and Yuzu? Truffle risotto or Angus beef striploin steak in Miso sauce? The dishes are delightful, the chef, creative, and we didn’t hesitate to dig in.
A piece of advice? Leave a bit of space for the Summer Paradise, a dessert consisting of a Sichuan pepper sorbet and yoghurt flakes to finish off your beautiful dinner.
