Edit - January 7th 2018: this restaurant is now closed
This is a well-known restaurant and it is probably why it has now arrived in Hong Kong. We tried the new location in the heart of Causeway Bay so that we could give you a review. With its Stylish decor, colours, prints, and woodwork, the restaurant is stunning. It is also flooded with natural light, and being on the 25th floor, this is no surprise. But anyone who’s been to the Thai branch might admit that this location lacks some of the Bangkok charm. As for the food, we were charmed. We recommend the Yum Hua Plee, a salad of banana flowers and palm hearts, and Gai Aob, chicken in coconut milk and turmeric sauce. The rice with mushrooms, which came with the chicken, was to die for. We tried the dessert that came with the set lunch out of pure greed, with eyes bigger than our stomachs. And what a show it turned out to be! The crepe coconut soufflée was simply gorgeous. The service could have been better but all in all, it is a place worth going to, either for a romantic dinner or with friends.
