Youni, meal plans

June 27th 2018

You know me by now, such a foodie. Part of my job (and definitely not the worst part of it) is to attend media tasting and/or try new restaurants and new menus so that I can put a review up here. Problem is, even though I do love it I also sometimes feel like I need a break from that. I have managed to find quite a nice balance and am squeezing in a barre 2 barre workout in my schedule pretty much every day but even with that, sometimes it’s just too much and after a few busy weeks I do feel the need to rebalance everything and get back to a healthier lifestyle. And in order to do so, I’m not afraid to confess I need a little help.

I’ve been trying a few different solutions and the one that I find the most fitted to my lifestyle and my goal is Youni.

First of all, I love their philosophy: not everyone as the same health and fitness goals and the same lifestyle and the idea of Youni is not to impose you anything but to accompany you on your journey to reach you goal, whatever this one is. Youni is literally You and I, together working toward the same direction.

Their meal plans are just the perfect thing for me whenever I need a little break from food overload and a healthy kick:

1. Their meals are tasty – and for me that’s crucial. I love food too much and my meals are sometimes my only breaks in a crazy work day/week. I need that break to be satisfying, I need tasty food.
Just have a look at their Instagram. God, I didn’t know meal plans could look that mouth watering!

2. Their plans are super convenient – you can either pick them up daily at one of their 8 café (4 on the island, 4 on Kowloon side), which I did during my trial with them because I got one on my way to work, or have them delivered straight to you.
I don’t know about you but I really need something which makes my life easier, not something which requires me to change my daily routine.

3. They care – about the ingredients they use and about the environment. I’m sorry but eating healthy food out of plastic, non-reusable boxes and while generating tons of waste is not a healthy lifestyle. Just saying. They source their ingredients free of hormones and antibiotics and use greens from local farms free from soil toxins and heavy metals. Oh and of course, packaging is eco-friendly.

4. Their prices are reasonable

5. The weekly menu is available on the website if you like to know what you are going to eat before hand – I do (I am that kind of girl who will always have a look at a restaurant website before going there and carefully study the menu, I feel so frustrated when there’s no menu on the website!)

Sticking to the plan has never felt that easy!

Youni
1 week of meals starts from HKD 750 for hald-day plan (Breakfast + Lunch + 2 snacks OR Lunch + Dinner + 1 snack) and HKD 1,050 for full-day plan (Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner + 2 snacks)
